Wednesday, 08 August 2018

The largest narrow-body ACMI operator in the world Avion Express has signed an Airbus A320 Type Rating training agreement with BAA Training.

Further working on solving pilot sourcing and recruitment challenges as well as anticipating the increase of the fleet, Avion Express took an extra step to attract new pilots with relevant qualification and skills to operate the company’s Airbus A320 family aircraft. To satisfy its business needs the airline turned to its reliable partner BAA Training to get assistance in selecting and training pilots.

Avion Express CEO Darius Kajokas explained, “Due to its growth, aviation industry continues to face challenges with sourcing and recruitment of pilots. Professional and responsible pilots are in very high demand these days, so by introducing Type Rating training programme we are taking an extra mile to make sure that we fill all the slots in the cockpits of our growing fleet”.

Type-Rated pilots will be selected in compliance with the selection criteria specified by Avion Express and trained under the Training programme of BAA Training. After the successful completion of the Type Rating training programme, pilots will be provided with an opportunity to work for Avion Express.
