  • Worldwide flight planning;
  • Arranging overflight/landing permissions, ground handling, slots, fuel, catering and transport;

This is your time to upgrade your career – BAA Training in partnership with Avion Express is offering you to get Airbus A320 Type Rating qualification and to become a pilot of Avion Express after the Base Training and assessment procedure.


Avion Express is the largest narrow-body ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) operator in the world. Headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, Avion Express is working with clients in Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific. The company is constantly growing in terms of employees, fleet, and production. In 2018 Avion Express operates 18 Airbus A320 family aircraft.


Interested? Here are the requirements that you should meet in order to get into the programme:

  • Profile XT test;
  • Interview with BAA Training;
  • Interview with Avion Express;
  • Avion Express skill test in FFS.


  • Valid EASA license on any other aircraft type;
  • Experience flying at airlines;

  • Valid ME, IR (multi-engine, instrument rating);

Work description:

Avion Express together with BAA Training, one of the leading aviation training centres in Northern Europe, created a pilot training programme for people with little to no flying experience to meet the constantly growing demand for new pilots.

After successfully completing the ATPL (frozen) course, pilots will have a chance to join Avion Express.


  • Age: 18 years old and over;
  • Education: Secondary or higher;
  • Physical status: valid EASA 1st Class Medical Certificate;
  • Residency: unrestricted right to live and work in the European Union;
  • Theoretical preparation: Knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, and English is of key importance;
  • Personal competence and aptitude: all candidates must go through special tests and interviews developed by the selection committee of BAA Training and Avion Express for social competence and aptitude assessment.


Open Theoretical part consists of 14 subjects (790 hours) to be completed in 6-8 months:

  • Air law;
  • Communication;
  • Operating procedures;
  • Mass and balance;
  • Instrumentation;
  • Meteorology;
  • Aircraft general knowledge;
  • Flight planning;
  • Performance;
  • General navigation;
  • Radio navigation;
  • Human performance;
  • Principles of flight;
  • Aircraft operation manual;
  • MCC.

Flight training consists of 215 hours including Flight Navigation Procedure Trainer, single-engine, multi-engine aircraft, and a Full Flight Simulator:

  • 150 hours – single-engine aircraft;
  • 13 hours – multi-engine aircraft;
  • 37 hours – FNPT II;
  • 15 hours FFS.
